Mini Maps Quilting Workshop (Sunday, Feb. 2, 12-3 pm)

In this three-hour workshop participants learn to make a map postcard. Bring in a postcard-size paper map of a special pace and scraps of your favorite fabrics. Beware: these mini maps are addictive!

Supply list:

• Printout, or drawing of, a map from a location that is important to you. The printed map should be approximating 5”x8”. One way to get a map is to take a screen shot of a Google Map then printed it out on a home printer.
• Light color fabric for background approximately 8”x8”
• Assorted scraps
• Double sided fusible such as Heat and Bond or Steam-a-Seam
• Black Sharpie
• Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. (If you'd like to reserve a studio machine, please email.)
• Scrap of batting or Pellon Peltex approximately 8”x8”
• Fabric for backing approximately 8”x8”

Optional:

• Silicone pressing sheet
• Glue stick
